Hello! I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Iowa with over twenty years of experience in mental health counseling, consulting, and education. I am currently accepting new clients. I work with adults and couples. I provide counseling and consulting services to both adults and couples. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is an evidence-based eye movement therapy used to treat trauma symptoms, anxiety, occupational stress. performance difficulties, and a variety of other issues. ART is an evidence-based practice, directive and specific. ART uses the client’s ability to imagine their troubling “scenes” and monitor their bodily sensation. Clients can choose how much they want to verbally share with me about their scenes. Clients do not need to verbally recount their scenes that cause distress for ART to be effective.
